Love the South Coast Location,
But Want a Sydney House?
Not all Sydney-based companies will build on the South Coast. Before falling head over heels with a display home, make sure the builder builds in your area, and enquire about any travelling charges they add to rural homes many builders will even have a different price list for different areas.
If you do fall in love with a design, but the builder doesn’t travel, don’t panic. There are options: many builders have smaller, local builders authorized to build their designs, and other builders will happily sell you their plans. Its’ then your job to find a local builder to build it for you.
Interestingly, quite a few of these new developments have, or will have, their own display villages for instance, Bayswood in Vincentia will have eight homes from four builders on display. Choosing your new home from these designs will ensure two things: that the builder works in your area, and that the design meets the sometimes tight design controls that new home buyers must adhere to in many of these estates.
